Biography

David Fischer spent decades working in telecommunications and DC power infrastructure — environments where stability, load management, and pattern recognition are not abstract concepts but operational requirements. Systems fail in predictable ways. Compensation patterns emerge before collapse. Recovery is measurable, not assumed.

That background shaped the question he eventually brought to human biology: if engineered systems have well-understood failure modes and recovery dynamics, why is the same framework so rarely applied to the human body?

His work since has been an attempt to answer that question — through Reiki practice, through PEMF and biofeedback-informed sessions, through the development of a proposed systems framework called the Architecture of Coherence, and through a growing body of published writing.

The Question That Started This

The original question was not about energy work. It was about why some people recover from stress and others don't — and why the difference is rarely addressed in conventional wellness frameworks.

Standard models focus on what happens during stress. David's interest was in what happens afterward. Can the system return? How quickly? How completely? And when it can't — what has changed, and where?

That question led him toward nervous system regulation, autonomic function, bioelectric signaling, and eventually toward Reiki — not as a belief system, but as a structured practice that appeared, through his observations, to support states associated with rest and recovery.

The investigation wasn't originally academic. It grew from trying to understand why conventional explanations weren't answering questions he was encountering in his own life and in the patterns he was observing in others. The framework came later. The questions came first.

From Engineering to Biological Regulation

In telecommunications and power systems, you learn to read patterns before they become failures. You learn that stability is not a fixed state — it is a dynamic process of continuous adjustment. You learn that compensation is not the same as recovery.

These principles provided a useful lens for thinking about human biology. The nervous system can be viewed in terms of regulatory architecture; metabolism involves resource availability and demand; structural systems adapt to changing loads; and cellular signaling depends on timing and coordination.

The framework David developed — the Architecture of Coherence — applies systems-engineering thinking to human biological regulation. It is not a medical model. It is a way of asking better questions about how the body maintains stability, loses it, and finds its way back.

The Writing

The books follow a deliberate sequence — from foundational language through formal framework, historical translation, and practical application.

Bridging the Energetic Realms book cover
1

Bridging the Energetic Realms

The entry point. Translates "energy" language into biologically grounded processes — nervous system dynamics, metabolic stability, cellular signaling. Establishes the shared vocabulary the rest of the series builds on.

2

The Architecture of Coherence

The formal framework. A multi-layered systems model spanning meaning, nervous system function, metabolism, structure, and cellular processes. Introduces regulatory drift and the compensation patterns that form in response.

3

The Esoteric Origins of Energy

A scientific translation. Examines historical energy-based traditions through a modern biological lens — not to validate or dismiss them, but to clarify what they were actually observing about physiological regulation.

The Coherence Reset

A practical thirty-day framework. Grounded in contemporary research on stress physiology, nervous system regulation, and neuroplasticity. Published by the Institute for Coherence and Regulation Press.

Reiki-Rife and the Institute

Reiki-Rife Energy Work is David's practice — the applied expression of the framework. It is where the theoretical model meets individual clients: people experiencing chronic stress, disrupted sleep, persistent fatigue, and patterns that conventional approaches have not fully addressed.

The Institute for Coherence and Regulation is the educational and publishing arm of this work. It is the organizational home for the Coherence Series, for future courses and training materials, and for the longer-term project of building a testable, empirically evaluable model of human biological regulation.

The two are related but distinct. Reiki-Rife is a wellness practice. The Institute is an education, publishing, and framework-development initiative. Both operate within the same conceptual architecture — but they serve different purposes and make different kinds of claims.

On Distinguishing Established Science from Proposed Framework

This is the part of the work David takes most seriously. The books draw on established science — autonomic regulation, systems biology, stress physiology, bioelectric signaling — but the Architecture of Coherence itself is a proposed framework, not an established scientific model.

That distinction matters. Established science describes what has been observed, measured, and replicated. A proposed framework describes a way of organizing those observations into a coherent explanatory structure. The framework may be useful, even compelling — but it is not the same as the science it draws on.

David maintains that boundary explicitly in his writing and in his practice. The goal is not to claim more than the evidence supports, but to build a framework rigorous enough that it can eventually be tested, evaluated, and refined.

What I Am Exploring

The larger question behind all of this work is whether it is possible to build a genuinely testable model of human biological regulation that bridges the gap between established physiology and the experiential language of energy work.

Most frameworks in this space either dismiss the experiential tradition entirely or accept it uncritically. David's interest is in a third path: taking the observations seriously, translating them into mechanistic terms, and building a model specific enough to be evaluated.

That project is ongoing. The books represent the current state of the framework. The Institute represents the infrastructure for taking it further. The practice at Reiki-Rife is where the model meets the real complexity of individual human systems — and where the most important questions continue to emerge.
